What is a Take and Train

Take & Train is the ideal option for busy owners who need additional training with their dogs for additional stimulation and support or for harder to handle pups who need a little extra help getting the process started for more complex training needs. To ensure welfare and efficiency of the dog and training sessions range from 45–60 minute session, your trainer picks up your dog from a predetermined location and works directly with them on the behaviors and goals you’ve chosen together. Trainer may transport your dog as needed to various locations during sessions. 

Requirements:

• Signed Service Agreement and Client Contract

• Initial Consult - This is a normal 1hr private session but the main focus is for the trainer to better understand the issue and concerns from client. This will be the starting point for trainer to determine ability to work with the dog and handler to develop a training plan and set expectations before continuing training or offering training packages.

Pricing and Packages:

• Standard rate is 120$/Session

• Packages available after initial consult at trainers discretion.

How Take & Train Works

Each session includes:

• Pick‑up and drop‑off at your agreed‑upon location

• Focused one‑on‑one training tailored to your dog’s needs

• Real‑world practice in environments that challenge and build your dog’s skills

• Follow‑up coaching to ensure you can maintain and reinforce the progress at home

This structure allows your dog to learn efficiently while giving you the tools to keep that progress going.

What We Work On

Take & Train sessions can target a wide range of skills, all dependent on the trainer and the owner/dogs needs.

Your Role in the Process

Even though the trainer does the hands‑on work during sessions, your involvement is essential. Routine follow ups are scheduled to ensure you are maintaining the techniques.

This ensures that training doesn’t stop when the session ends—it becomes part of your daily life with your dog.
